HSHS St. Francis Hospital


HSHS St. Francis Hospital will hold a series of three Healthy is Fun classes at the hospital over the next three months. The purpose of this series of classes is to provide an informational health topic as well as a fun group activity during the event.

 


The Lewis and Clark Community College Mobile Dental Health Unit will be at HSHS St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This mobile health unit is staffed with professional dental providers to provide high quality, comprehensive exams and preventative services for adults 18 years of age and older. This community event is sponsored by HSHS St. Francis Hospital and is a part of the hospitals strategic plan to better meet the needs of access to dental care in the hospital’s service area.

 


The Junior Volunteer program at HSHS St. Francis Hospital again will offer service opportunities to area teens this summer.

Doctors' Day is celebrated on March 30 each year.

Doctors dedicate their lives to the care of others, bringing hope and healing that only doctors can.  These extraordinary individuals reach out to bring comfort to patients and families each day. It is  for this reason that the HSHS St. Francis Foundation is taking a day to say a special “thank you”  for their dedication and sacrifice.

The following individuals have honored and recognized physicians for Doctors' Day 2017.
 
 

The HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary offers two scholarship awards to students whose principal residences are in Montgomery or Macoupin counties.  The Auxiliary’s Memorial Scholarship for Continuing Medical Education is awarded to eligible applicants currently pursuing degrees or diplomas in health-related occupations. Two awards of $1,000 are given. Award recipient selections are based on the information contained in the required documentation and in personal interviews. Financial need is also a consideration for one of the awards.

On March 3, 2017, HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield started offering chemotherapy treatments to patients in its new Cancer Care Center.
