HSHS St. Francis Hospital


HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary is showcasing some beautiful Litchfield homes later this month as part of a fundraiser to benefit a scholarship program for students pursuing degrees in the health care field.

Six homes will be showcased Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, during the 2018 Home Tour. It features the homes of Keith and Pat Aten, Steve Dougherty, Tyler and Antonia Downs, Jake and Jennifer Fleming, Richard and Stacy Ledford, and Steve and Angela Morris. The homes are all located in Litchfield. The tour will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with an after-party at Maverick Steaks & Spirits in Litchfield that will feature hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. Tickets are on sale now and available at the HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop or the Holiday Inn Express. The cost of a ticket is $20 advance and $25 the day of the event.
 

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) today announced that Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner signed telehealth legislation, Senate Bill 3049, into law. It will go into effect on January 1, 2019.

New classes are set for the mind-body health series. Upcoming classes and events include: Relax and Renew (Meditation Circle), Healthy Steps: Moving You to Greater Health. HSHS St. Francis Hospital colleagues recently completed their summer Instruments of Peace Project to assist families with school-aged children who are clients at the hospital’s St. Clare Center Food Pantry.


HSHS St. Francis Hospital, in partnership with Snap Fitness in Litchfield, is offering a free Core Crusher! class Thursday, July 19, 5:30 p.m. at Snap Fitness, 900 W. Union, Litchfield. Registration is not required. The class is a part of the GO! 217 initiative to keep community members moving and to improve the overall health of everyone who lives in the 217 area code.

Jeanne Banovic (left), representing the HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, recently presented a check in the amount of $8,000 to Paula Endress (right), director of philanthropy for HSHS St. Francis Hospital, from proceeds raised through the gift shop sales. Banovic, who serves as the gift shop volunteer coordinator, presented the check to the hospital during the auxiliary's general meeting on June 27, 2018.
