Auxiliary Gift Shop Presents $8,000 Check to Hospital

IMG_1016.jpgJeanne Banovic (left), representing the HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, recently presented a check in the amount of $8,000 to Paula Endress (right), director of philanthropy for HSHS St. Francis Hospital, from proceeds raised through the gift shop sales. Banovic, who serves as the gift shop volunteer coordinator, presented the check to the hospital during the auxiliary's general meeting on June 27, 2018.

Endress stated, "Jeanne does an exemplary job as our Gift Shop coordinator. She along with the many volunteers who assist her, all spend countless hours helping operate the shop. Their help is vital to the shop and continuing the hospital's mission. She added that the auxiliary gift shop is the group's largest fundraising entity. "Every Monday through Friday the shop is open in the hospital lobby. We thank everyone who comes by to support the Gift Shop and the hospital."

For information on joining the hospital auxiliary and attending their upcoming membership social event on July 18, contact Endress at (217) 324-8200. The auxiliary volunteers can assist in the gift shop or in other areas of the hospital. They can work at the St. Clare Food Pantry or support hospital-sponsored health events such as the Central Illinois Community Blood Center blood drives. Special fundraising events are held throughout the year and volunteers can lend a hand in many different ways.
